Gifts & Seasonal Department Manager

 

Waresley Park are looking for a Gift Department Manager with outstanding retail management, standards and people skills.

The successful candidate will be fully responsible for the delivery of outstanding department standards, customer service and our seasonal merchandising, whilst achieving and exceeding budgeted sales targets.

We are looking for someone with a strong retail sales background with a proven positive ability to deliver exceptional and inspirational displays. You will need excellent communication, people skills at all levels and the ability to work under pressure.

It is vitally important you are IT literate with a working knowledge of EPOS and have the ability to resolve challenging situations and/or people.

 

Key responsibilities:

Management of the entire gifts department including buying and merchandising as well as looking for fresh products to successfully introduce to our Centre.

To take ownership of our Christmas promotion including the set up of the Seasonal Department to the highest of standards, delivering a Wow experience to our customers.

Help formulate a strategy with the Directors and General Centre Manager to increase turnover and implement it.

Achievement of excellent retail standards across the site at all times with the ability to spot weaknesses and opportunities in a timely fashion.

Fair and consistent line management of all staff, setting challenging, achievable goals and objectives to improve sales throughout the centre. Create a productive, positive, enjoyable motivated workforce.

Ensure all team members are trained to a level whereby they can multi-task so that they are able to operate in the right place at the right time to assist.

Management of customer service relations in a timely, professional manner.

Work with the department heads to ensure the correct mix of product and the deployment of staff to the correct department to enable restocking as required.

Assist marketing team with new ideas to help improve footfall and increase brand visibility and engagement.

 

Other details

This is a full time job, five days a week including alternate weekends. Normal working hours 8:30am until 5.30pm (4.30pm Sundays). Salary £30-£33k per year based on previous experience.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
