We are pleased to introduce our brand new monthly feature, plant of the month. Our January plant of choice is the ever popular David Austin Roses. You can read our full article below.

Our plant of the the month to see in the new year is the highly acclaimed David Austin Roses. This year David Austin Roses have been more popular than ever and as a supplier they are now only dealing with a select number of garden centres, proudly we are included in that number.

David Austin have famously been breeding Roses for nearly 60 years on their family farm in Shropshire, in that time they have created over 200 varieties of Roses and have won various awards including the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Here are our top picks;

The Darcy Bussell, a crimson-pink flower with an excellent light, fruity scent. This Rose repeatedly flowers between June - September. Ideal for gardens with plenty of sun or partial shade.

The Tranquillity is a relatively new Rose to the collection, first introduced in 2012. This particular Rose has a beautiful large white flower, which can be enjoyed repeatedly from June-September. Perfectly suited to borders, pots and containers.

Finally the Golden Celebration makes the ideal gift for anyone celebrating a Golden wedding anniversary. These strong tea scented Roses will make a real impact with their rich yellow blooms.

You can find a range of David Austin Roses to suit your garden on our dedicated benches in our plant area. One of our friendly plant area team will always be on hand to help with any questions or enquiries you may have.
